Housing & Meals

Housing & Meals $1500 (approximate cost)

Living on campus is an optional part of the program – students can choose to commute. If you live on campus for the program, a summer meal plan is included in the room and board costs. Commuting students have the option to have a summer meal plan if they choose.

** We strongly encourage you to consider the option of living on campus due to the time commitment of Dawg Days: Jumpstart and the bonding that takes place between students within the residence halls. Please consider this option if it is feasible to your personal and financial situation. We understand this may not be an option for all students and participation in Dawg Days: Jumpstart does not require you to live on campus. Please indicate your desire to live on campus when you submit your Dawg Days: Jumpstart Application.

Billing

The Dawg Days: Jumpstart costs will be billed in July with the start of the program and due August 20th. Extensions for the payment deadline are available. For questions about billing, please visit Student Business Services website.

Scholarships Mini

Book Scholarship

Academic Engagement and Transition Programs provides each student with a book scholarship to cover the cost of books for the program. Jumpstart staff will purchase and distribute text books during the first week of the program. Please do NOT purchase text books in advance.

Financial Aid

Financial aid is limited during the summer term. Students must be enrolled for summer courses through Dawg Days: Jumpstart and demonstrate significant financial need per the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) in order to qualify for financial aid. Students with significant financial needs are those who qualify for the Federal Pell Grant. For more information, visit the Financial Aid website.
